Dear brothers and sisters,

We are living through difficult times. As a human being, it has affected me, I am not going to deny that. I had so many plans for this year that had to be placed on hold, and mostly, my heart aches for the ministry work I am unable to do in the mountains. The government has imposed several restrictions to try to prevent the spread of the virus, and that includes no traveling. Besides, churches are closed. We suddenly find ourselves surrounded by restrictions.

But my trust and confidence are strong, I hold on to the promises the Lord has given me in which he has told me He is my provider, He will care for me and my family, and He is the pastor of my ministry outreach. Since we are not allowed to attend church, my family and I gather at home and do church together. I keep in touch with the people I serve within the mountains and we pray together.

Please pray for me, my family, the missionaries, pastors and workers, pray for all of us that are serving the Lord. We will see the Lord move on our behalf.

Dear friends,

I am always happy to greet you.

This pandemic has given us the opportunity to evaluate and meditate where is our trust really at. It has helped to understand that we are the church, regardless of where we are, not only within the walls of a building. I have enjoyed watching how families are gathering to worship the Lord at their houses and studying the word of God. I believe this is what the Lord demands from us.

On the other hand, I am saddened by the fact that I am unable to go visit the churches because of the restrictions. My heart is heavy for all the children we minister to weekly, especially for those that do not have Jesus as their Lord and Saviour yet.

But, even in the midst of uncertainty and worries, God is still in control. What we are going through is incomprehensible for us, but God is much greater than us and He knows it all. He fills my household with joy, peace, and strength. He brings us gifts like our baby girl, Luz Anamaría, born at the end of April. We are the happy parents of two little girls now and we have seen his hand of protection upon my wife and the baby.

I pray I have opportunities to continue serving the Lord and others through this time of need, to keep bearing witness of my faith.
